Attn Wilderness Park Users!!!
You have probably noticed the sign boards along Old Cheney letting drivers know that the road will close on Tuesday of next week. The contractor is concerned about the possibility of heavy things dropping on trail users so the County has requested that the trails under the bridge be closed while repairs are completed. The scheduled time period for the repairs is 5/31/11 to 6/21/11. Signs were posted Wednesday in order to inform trail users of the closure. East side trail users will be able to use the Jamaica as a go around. West side has no viable detour route so none is posted. Hope that the weather allows for a speedy repair.
What's good this week!

Memorial Day Trail Clean up!
Shop is closed this Memorial Day so we decided it would be a great day to do some trail work at Wilderness Park! Meet us at 14th street parking lot this coming Monday at 8am. We will have safety waivers for everyone to sign. Please bring long pants, eye protection, gloves and any tools from home that you can use to clean up (mower, line trimmer, hedge clippers, racks, etc). Most important bring a bike to ride after. If it's raining that morning or rained a ton the night before clean up will be canceled.
