What is Ride 2 Recovery?
Ride 2 Recovery has been established by several disabled veterans to help make a difference in the lives of veterans by assisting in the mental and physical rehabilitation. Their mission has three goals: Support the participation of wounded warriors and veterans in the R2R program; Provide handicap bicycles, technical equipment, clinics and outings; and improve the health and morale of participants.
On June 9th the Department of Nebraska American Legion Auxiliary will hold a bike ride in Hickman. The distances are 5 miles, 25 miles or 45 miles. There is also a walk of approximately 1.2 miles. Participants are asked to raise funds for the bike ride/walk. All funds raised will be given to the R2R program.
If you are interested in participating in the bike ride or walk, please contact Veronica Kuhlmann by email.
