Registration is now open for Fifth Annual 5 Days ~ 500 Miles Endurance Bike Ride which begins and ends each day in Lincoln, Nebraska. Each day is a 100-mile journey taking the rider on a 100 mile ride on the scenic roads through surrounding towns. The first day of the endurance journey is Wednesday, June 20 and ends on Sunday, June 24, 2011.

The 500 mile Endurance ride is open to all cyclists over 18. If you are an endurance rider and challenge is your mantra, then the 5 day ~ 500 mile ride is a definite add to your resume. The cost to register for all 5 days is $250. Included in the registration is a jersey, Hammer products, SAG, completion medal, lunch each day and a celebration BBQ on Sunday.

For those who don't want the rigor and extreme challenge of riding 500 miles in 5 days, singleton 100 mile day rides are also available. Included in the singleton days registration is a t-shirt, Hammer products, SAG, lunch and a ticket to the celebration BBQ on Sunday.

The goal of the ride is not only to feed the hunger of a cyclist/rider who craves a challenge, but to donate a portion of the profits to a school in the surrounding area who is beginning the launch of the BackPack Program in conjunction with the Lincoln Food Bank. The purpose of the BackPack program is alleviate child hunger, hence we ride for kids.

Registration information is available at: www.5days500miles.com or by request to Stephanie Spearman at 402-416-8010. Early registration deadline is April 1, 2012.
